The Art of Carbon Fiber: Fullsix Weaves and Finishes

Carbon fiber is more than just a material - it's a form of artistic expression for motorcycles, enhancing their aesthetics without the need for extensive modifications. Its unique pattern speak volumes within the motorcycle community, showcasing a blend of luxury and understated elegance. In this guide, we'll walk you through the various weaves and finishes that Fullsix Carbon offers, helping you make an informed choice for your bike.

Plain Weave features a uniform, grid-like pattern and Twill Weave features a diagonal pattern. Each weave offers a unique look that can only be achieved with carbon fiber. The weaves are then complemented with a variety of finishes - Clear Coat for a glossy reflective surface that enhances depth, Matt for a subtle and non-reflective look, Raw for an uncoated finish that reveals the pure character of carbon fiber, and Satin for a balanced tone between gloss and matt.

We do not recommend choosing the Raw carbon fiber finish, as it lacks a protective coating and may be more prone to cracking or surface damage - especially on Malaysian roads, which are often uneven and harsh on exposed material.

OEM parts from Ducati and MV Augusta typically feature a 200 Plain Weave, while those from BMW, Yamaha, and Aprilia use a 245 Twill Weave. The finer 200 Plain Weave offers a tighter, more uniform pattern, whereas the 245 Twill Weave shows a bolder, more pronounced texture that highlights the bike design. We recommend choosing the weave according to your OEM brand to keep the look consistent.

When selecting your product option, please choose according to the weave type and finish that best suits your preference and OEM specifications. For example, options labeled 245T - Clear Coat refers to a 245 Twill Weave with a Clear Coat finish, while 200P - Matt indicate a 200 Plain Weave with a Matt finish. Make sure to select the option that matches your desired combination of weave and finish for the perfect fit and look.
